2 sets from Corespondents, a Seattle-based trio that somehow manages to meld the music from old Westerns, Greek weddings, surf riffs, and Hawaiian warmth as well as sounds from other space. Their use of a pedal steel guitar, a Greek bazouki, a Vietnamese Don Bao along with a handmade acoustic guitar and a classic Danelectro create an atmosphere that can transport you to the future just as easily as to the past.
Interactive performance by So Spun We Spun West, also from Seattle. SSWSW is a comedy sketch group that utilizes video and audience participation. Their performance on December 11th is titled ‘Post-Apocalyptic How-To” and should prove to be a most informative focus group for the 23rd century.
1 set from Fixin’ Hot Silver Magma, a local & mostly instrumental bass/guitar/drum trio that plays diverse dance music with swinging beats. Think of **** Dale’s extended family from Omaha and Haight-Ashbury. Accompanying video and other possible visual entertainment during set.
